THE PROFESSION THAT I WOULD LIKE TO CHOOSE:

Currently I am pursuing Business in the college and after graduating there will be many options for me to select as a profession for myself. There are many options for me like- Accountant, Human Resource Manager, Marketing and Operational Management. But, my aim in life is to become a Human Resource manager. The main reason I always want to become a Human Resource manager is that I will be getting the chance to perform various tasks like- Planning, Directing, Controlling and Organizing. Moreover, it will give me the opportunity to meet new people, listen to their problems and looking for solutions also.

FUNCTIONS OF A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER:

The main goal of a Human Resource manager to build a relationship between an employee and employer. Secondly, the HR also help the organization in the planning for their future goals. These goals might be short term or long term. Thirdly, the HR department is also responsible for the proper training and education of the new employees. Moreover, HR department also develops the policies and procedures for the employees of the company. HR department is always active enough to detect the risks that could become a threat for the company in future.

WHY AM I PASSIONATE FOR BECOMING A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER?

  • The main reason why am I interested in this position is that it is completely related to my studies as I have mentioned above that I am a Business student. I am an extrovert by nature and loves to communicate with new people and learning about their skills and experiences.
  • It is very obvious that every firm or organization will have its own HR department to carry out the functioning of that firm so there will be a large number of jobs opportunities in that field for me.
  • At last, I will get the chance to learn different types of skills from those who are very experienced in this field. It will help me to increase my knowledge and to be more imaginative and creative.

EXPERIENCE RELATED TO HR MANAGEMENT:

  • As I have mentioned above that I am a Business student and I have also studied subject related to Human Resource Management.
  • When I was in India I used to work for a firm. it was an employment agency. I had worked there about 4 months and learned a lot about how to deal and communicate with people in different areas.
  • It is very important for an HR to have good connections, so I am also trying to raise my chain of network by making good relations with them using social media.

SKILLS FOR THE WORK:

It is very important in every job to have some skills and knowledge about the job you are going to do. I have very good communication skills, so it is very easy for me to talk to people and listen to their problems. I know how to deal with the people of different personalities and also know how to keep myself calm and composed.

CONCLUSION After completing my graduation, I am all ready to apply for a Human Resource Manager. I have applied on Indeed, LinkedIn, Job search and some more sites for Human Resource manager. We all are living in modern era and social media has become an integral part of our life. Nowadays, more than half of the population in the world is addicted to it. It is mostly used to communicate with our friends and family members as well as we can share our thoughts and ideas with them. Moreover, it allows us to send photos and videos all around the world. Basically, it is a connection of websites and applications which permits the user to engage in the social networking.

Social media plays a vital role in all types of professions or businesses as it gives the new opportunities of employment to those who are looking for jobs. There are many online applications and websites that allows users to find a perfect job for them such as- Indeed, Job search, Zip recruiters and many more. These applications serve for both employers and employees. It grants the access to every individual to create their online profiles. Once an online profile is created than it becomes easy to find a job according to the requirement of an individual. Employers can find workers and people can find good jobs. Companies can upload information about the new vacancies for hiring along with the nature of the job.

Advantages of adapting Social media in our professional progress:

  • Framing good connections: The first advantage of using social media is that it helps us to build good public relations. People can associate with anyone from anywhere. Good public relations also play crucial role in finding a good job. If an individual will have good relations in the society then it will become easy for him or her to enter in any field of business. Also, it will create a comfort zone for the new workers to adjust themselves in the organization.
  • Promotion: it doesn’t matter if you have an online business or offline; social media grants you the access to promote your business to the large number of people. As we all know companies spend a lot of money just for advertisement so, promoting your business with the help of social media is very beneficial because, it is very less expensive as well as it will increase the profits of business.
  • Good source of communication: In this technological world, it has become very easy to communicate with anyone in the world by using social media applications. It allows the users to share their idea and thoughts with others all around the world. It is used in all the professions like- Education, business, Medical science etc. The user can share the data in various forms like- pictures, videos, files and in the form of tables also.
  • Opportunity for the business owners: It allows the entrepreneurs and business owners to stay in contact with their old customers and attract the new ones by promoting their new products. Some of the organizations in the world are entirely dependent on social media and it becomes difficult for them to run their business without it. For some of the individuals it has become a way to earn money as they can sell their old products such as mobile, laptop and vehicles by posting online.

Disadvantages of using social media:

  • Time consuming: sometimes hiring employees using social media is very time consuming as the company may receive a lot of applications which will include experienced and non-experienced workers so it will be very difficult to select the experienced ones from the huge number of applications. They need to spend a lot of time to find the best applicants from all those resumes.
  • Cyber-crime: it is impossible to use social media without internet, when we use social media there are many hackers which are always ready to hack the business accounts and steal their confidential information. Sometimes, these hackers try to hack account by sending spam emails through which they can easily access the bank account of anyone, so it is very important to secure your account.
  • Resources: A company will need many resources to manage its social media accounts, provide feedback and posting the new content. For all these purposes company will need a well trained and educated staff. Moreover, they will need to hire new staff with the development of new technologies and have to train them for the better results.

Issues while using social Media:

  • Privacy issues: while creating account on social media it is very important to pay attention towards the privacy of your account. An individual must select the contacts to whom he wants to show his posts. It is very important for a company to keep an eye on its employees weather the information they are posting on the behalf of the company is true or not. Sometimes, the other companies can misuse the personal information to ruin the reputation of their competitors in the market.
  • Brute force attack: It is also a part of cyber-crime. It is a software developed by hackers to hack accounts and gather personal information like credit card number, account passwords by doing simple hacking. This software provides a list of passwords to the hackers which they further use to access other’s accounts.
